Mana: Studies of Social Anthropolgy is a publication organized by the Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology of the Museu Nacional, at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGAS). It is intended for presentation and discussion of research and theoretical works contributing to the understanding of sociocultural reality and the development of anthropology, henceforth seeking to put the reader in touch with the most important topics and contemporary issues of the discipline. The journal only publishes unpublished works, produced in the various areas of knowledge related to social anthropology in its widest scope. It holds the top QUALIS CAPES evaluation score and is indexed by ISI Web of Science. Funding comes from CNPq/ CAPES and FAPERJ resources.
