LINA Laboratory of Amerindian innovations
The Laboratory of Amerindian Innovations gathers researchers interested in studying, under the optic of invention and innovation, the transformations experienced by indigenous South American peoples from the onset of contact with other socio-cultural universes, especially, the “world of the whites”. Based upon long term fieldwork research, themes such as Christianization, monetization, schooling and diverse practices of cultural objectification are addressed from an indigenous perspective, showing their relationships with so called traditional systems of transformation and paying special attention to changes involving notions of the person, humanity and morality.
